MyChart Paperless Billing

 

Starting August 18, 2025, patients with active MyChart accounts will no longer receive paper bills in the mail. This means you’ll now receive your hospital and doctor billing statements securely and conveniently through your MyChart account.  Hendricks is excited to offer a better billing experience with paperless billing through our MyChart patient portal: 

  • More Secure — prevents identity theft from in-mail paper statements 
  • More Convenient — clutter-free access to your bills anytime and anywhere  

How do I know when new statements are available? 

Once a new statement is available, you will receive a notification to the email address associated with your MyChart. You can also choose to receive notifications through a push notification from your MyChart app and/or text message to your mobile device.  To update how you receive MyChart notifications, log in to your MyChart account or the app. From the Menu, go to Settings and then Communication Preferences. 

Where can I view my paperless statement online?  

All statements will be available in your MyChart account under the Billing section. To find current and past statements, select View Balance Details. Choose the Communications tab to see the most recent statement and Show All Statements for past bills.  

What if I want to change back to paper statements? 

We understand that some patients may prefer paper. You can opt out of paperless billing any time through your MyChart account. If you’d still like to receive a paper bill, follow these steps:

1. Go to your MyChart menu.
2. Scroll to the “Billing” section and click on the “Billing Summary” tab.
3. At the bottom of your page, near the leaf icon, click the “Paperless Preferences” link.
4. Click on the green toggle beside “Paperless Billing” to receive a paper bill instead.
5. Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of your page.

Can I still print a copy of my statement? 

Yes, printing is available through your MyChart webpage and app.
