Healthgrades

In 2025, Hendricks Regional Health received Five-Star recognitions from Healthgrades in heart failure, sepsis, GI bleed and respiratory failure. This marks four consecutive years for 5-star recognitions in heart failure and sepsis and three consecutive years for GI bleed and respiratory failure. Hendricks Regional Health is proud to be the only hospital in Indiana to receive the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award for 18 consecutive years.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) 5-Star Rating

In July 2024, Hendricks Regional Health achieved the highest possible rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS): 5-stars for Overall Hospital Quality. This prestigious distinction, awarded to only 381 hospitals nationwide, recognizes Hendricks Regional Health’s exceptional performance across key quality measures like patient experience, clinical outcomes, timely care and safety.

Magnet

In April 2024, Hendricks Regional Health learned that we have once again achieved Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the highest national credential for professional nursing practice. HRH first received Magnet in 2010 and has now been redesignated three times.

U.S. News & World Report

In September 2023, Hendricks Regional Health was honored with High Performance recognition from U.S. News & World Report. We achieved the highest rating possible in hip fracture and treatment of COPD.

Leapfrog

In fall 2024, Hendricks Regional Health earned an "A" from The Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Safety Grade, the highest grade for patient safety. This distinction recognizes our commitment to preventing medical errors, accidents and infections while prioritizing the safety of our patients.


Accreditations & Achievements

Below are some of the national accreditations and achievements Hendricks has received.

Chest Pain Center Accreditation

In 2024, Hendricks Regional Health earned full Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology (ACC) for Danville and Brownsburg hospitals. This accreditation reflects Hendricks Regional Health’s commitment to providing expert, evidence-based cardiac care. By following a protocol-driven approach, Hendricks Regional Health effectively reduces treatment time during the critical early stages of a heart attack, improving patient outcomes.

American Nursing Credentialing Center

Hendricks Regional Health Nurse Residency Program at Hendricks Regional Health was awarded Accreditation with Distinction, the highest recognition awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Accreditation Program.

Seal of Quality & Safety

Hendricks Regional Health was awarded the Seal of Quality & Safety accreditation by ACHC (formerly HFAP), the nation's original independent, accreditation program recognized by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Earning an ACHC accreditation is a significant achievement that recognizes our commitment to providing outstanding care to our patients and our community.

INspire

In 2023, for the fourth consecutive year, Indiana Hospital Association recognized Hendricks Regional Health as an INspire Hospital of Distinction. INspire was developed to implement the delivery of best practice care for Hoosier moms and babies and recognize hospitals for excellence in addressing key drivers of infant and maternal health. We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to educating expecting mothers on how to stay healthy for themselves and their newborns.

Cribs For Kids

Since November 2021, Hendricks Regional Health has been recognized as a Cribs for Kids National Gold Certified Safe Sleep Hospital. The Cribs for Kids National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification program awards recognition to hospitals that demonstrate a commitment to reducing infant, sleep-related deaths by promoting and educating on best safe sleep practices.

Pediatric Ready Level Emergency Services

Hendricks Regional Health has been recognized as a Pediatric Ready Level Emergency Department by the Indiana Emergency Medical Services for Children. This designation acknowledges our Danville ER's exceptional readiness to provide emergency care to pediatric patients.
