Chaplaincy

Spiritual care is an important contributor to the quality care we offer to our patients at Hendricks Regional Health. Our chaplaincy department responds to the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and their families, as well as our staff and the local religious community. To minister to your needs, a chaplain is in the Danville hospital and available to patients in the Brownsburg hospital every day. When not in the hospital, a chaplain is on call around the clock.

Request a Chaplain

Hendricks Regional Health staff members are happy to request a chaplain on behalf of patients and their families. Patients may also request a visit with a chaplain when they are admitted to the hospital.

Hospital Chapel

The chapel in the Danville Hospital is available for meditation and prayer for persons of all religions and beliefs. It is located on the hospital’s first floor, just east of the cardiac catheterization lab. For exact directions, please ask any staff member, or inquire at one of our registration/information desks.

For Visiting Clergy

Members of the local clergy are a valuable part of the healing team and are always welcome to visit members of their church/faith community. Our chaplains visit patients and families Monday through Friday, as well as limited hours on weekends. We encourage visiting clergy to ask the staff at a registration/information desk to contact the hospital operator if you would like to arrange to speak with a chaplain about pastoral concerns.

CareNotes™

CareNotes™ are brief, easy to read pamphlets that provide readers with information on assorted topics, such as coping with unexpected illness, aging, depression, grieving, how to talk to children about death, and many more spiritual and emotional topics. Pamphlets are available in display racks at various locations in the Danville and Brownsburg hospitals.

Support Groups

Our chaplaincy staff facilitate bereavement and other support groups for the community. The groups are open to all.  Learn more.
