If you or someone you love is living with diabetes, you already know its challenges. Living a full, healthy life with diabetes is within reach, but it takes commitment and the right team of health care professionals.

Hendricks Regional Health offers a comprehensive team of nurses, dietitians and certified diabetes educators. Our medical specialties with a focus in diabetes include:

	Center for Diabetes Excellence Patients learn how to live well with diabetes through education recognized by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. Individual appointments with an educator and a support group are available.
	Endocrinology For patients struggling to maintain ideal blood sugar control despite multiple medications, the addition of an endocrinologist can be beneficial. Endocrinologists also treat metabolic and thyroid disorders.
	Nephrology (Kidney Care and Dialysis) Our nephrologists specialize in caring for patients with chronic and acute kidney disease, and also treat conditions such as hypertension. Dialysis is available though our inpatient center.
	Ophthalmology Protecting your vision from diabetes-related eye disease or vision loss is important. We offer treatment of conditions such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, as well as surgical care.

Specialized services such as counseling for patients interested in insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring and wound care are available.
