Hendricks Regional Health has received full Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology (ACC). The accreditation means the systematic, evidence-based, protocol-driven approach to cardiac care at Hendricks Regional Health has allowed us to reduce time to treatment during the critical early stages of a heart attack.
Hendricks Regional Health is among the top 5 hospitals for cardiology services in Indiana in 2022-2023 by Healthgrades. Hendricks has also received Five-Star ratings from Healthgrades for the treatment of COPD and heart failure.
In addition, we have been awarded Primary Stroke Certification from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and received five-stars from Healthgrades for the quality of our treatment of Stroke. This means we have the unique capacity to stabilize and treat acute stroke patients, providing initial, acute care and administering tPA and other acute therapies safely and efficiently. The national standard for the delivery of tPA, a clot-busting medication used to treat stroke patients, is less than 60 minutes. At Hendricks Regional Health, we are able to meet or surpass that time, with the ability to deliver tPA in less than 30 minutes.
