Orthopedic surgical care at Hendricks Regional Health is led by the team of fellowship-trained physicians at Hendricks Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. The surgeons, Kyle Ritter, M.D., Chad Waits, M.D., Brad Prather, M.D., Tyler Beckley, D.O., and Todd Bertrand, M.D., are trained in orthopedic surgery and devoted to the diagnosis, management, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

We specialize in total joint replacements, revisions and joint preservation as well as arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, ankle, hip and elbow. Other specialties include tendon and ligament reconstruction and fracture care.

Those needing hip replacement surgery may benefit from our direct anterior approach to this procedure. This muscle-sparing alternative has a shorter recovery time than traditional hip replacement and requires no dislocation precautions for the patient following surgery.

The OR lighting was designed to provide a range of illumination, including spotlights and green lighting to give visual flexibility throughout the rooms. Green lights can be switched on in place of white lighting for better viewing during laparoscopic procedures, allowing the surgeon’s eye to better distinguish small details.
